Prof. Alexander Fish is a Hebrew University of Jerusalem alumnus and a specialist in gastroenterology and liver diseases. He is a professor of medicine and gastroenterology at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. From 2007 to 2010, he served as President and Chairman of the Israeli Association of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases. Prof. Fich is the former Director of the Institute of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, and currently serves as a senior physician at the institute. He sees patients at private clinics in central Israel and Be’er Sheva and has agreements with all Israeli health insurance providers. His expertise includes inflammatory bowel diseases, Crohn’s disease, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, esophageal diseases, gastrointestinal tumors, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and bariatric endoscopy (gastric balloon for weight loss).
