Do you experience pain during sexual intercourse due to dryness in the vagina, and sex is no longer what it used to be? Are you embarrassed when urine leaks while you are running, laughing, or worst of all, during a Pilates class with your girlfriends? Do you feel looseness in your vagina which impairs your self-image as a woman?
These are common effects caused by physiological processes in the vagina and the pelvic floor in women over the age of 40. Pregnancies, births, hormonal changes and wear and tear in the woman’s body cause this.
These effects could mar the normal routine of life. In instances of vaginal dryness and pelvic looseness, there is a fear of impairing satisfying intimate relations with the partner. In instances of vaginal dryness, sexual intercourse involves discomfort to unbearable pain. Looseness of the vagina, on the other hand, impairs one’s self-image as a woman and reduces the pleasure from sexual contact. What about urinary incontinence? International statistics talk about over 60% of women over the age of 40 who have given birth naturally more than twice. Urinary incontinence is accompanied by embarrassment and unpleasantness and not infrequently causes avoidance by choice. The main thing is not to feel ashamed. Millions of women throughout the world suffer from one or more of these problems. It cannot be prevented. But it can be treated.
The most advanced treatment in the field is performed using a novel gynecological laser, which works through a transducer, similar to that used in gynecological ultrasound. The treatment uniquely addresses each of these problems, without surgery, without anesthesia, and without pain.
The laser apparatus treats the upper wall of the vagina, rebuilds the collagen layer and rejuvenates the mucosa. As a result, the urethra straightens out and the urethral sphincter resumes normal function.
The treatment is done in a series of three appointments, 20 minutes each, three weeks apart, and maintenance treatment of 20 minutes once a year.
The laser therapeutic procedure treats the internal walls of the vagina directly. It tightens up the vagina, narrows it, and restores its characteristic wavy shape.
The treatment is done in a series of three appointments, 20 minutes each, three weeks apart, and maintenance treatment of 20 minutes once a year.
The treatment, in this case, is relevant for the entire vagina. The laser rebuilds the collagen layer and rejuvenates the mucosa, and consequently, the sensation of dryness disappears..
The treatment is done in a series of three appointments, 20 minutes each, three weeks apart, and maintenance treatment of 20 minutes once a year.
In this case, too, laser-based non-invasive treatment is utilized. The treatment is applied throughout the external vaginal domain, and it resembles dermatologic procedures used in facial treatments.
The treatment shrinks the labia to their original size, thus solving the problem of looseness.
The treatment is done at two to three appointments, 10 minutes each, three weeks to one month apart, and maintenance treatment of 10 minutes once a year.
For all the treatments, not only is there no need for an operation, but apart from the restriction of sexual relations for 48 hours after the treatment, the patient may continue her daily routine immediately on completion of the treatment.
As mentioned above, the use of the vaginal laser has many advantages in the treatment of such problems as vaginal looseness, vaginal dryness, and urinary incontinence. The most important: it enables non-invasive treatment; an operation, with all the side effects characteristic of invasive surgery, is thus rendered superfluous. There is no need for anesthesia, and the patient feels no pain during or after the treatment (except for isolated instances of feeling discomfort or mild prickling).
An additional significant advantage of the advanced laser treatment is its maximal suitability for most women. In fact, except for extraordinary cases of women suffering from a severe infection of the vagina or from a chronic problem, it can be used for all women suffering from the discussed conditions. The size of the population of women in Israel who suffer from these conditions is estimated to be almost half a million!
The gynecological laser apparatus enables the treatment of additional gynecological problems, such as condyloma (genital warts), the transducer enabling access also to warts located deep in the vagina, which are more difficult to reach.
It can also be used to treat the development of various lesions in the vagina and cervix, which are relatively easy to get rid of using the laser beam.
If you suffer pain in the vulva (vestibulitis) or painful scars following vaginal operations, this also can be treated by the advanced laser using heat waves emitted from it to the problematic areas.
